The Department of Electronics and Computers is included in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of "TRANSILVANIA" University of Brasov-Romania. It delivers courses in Electronic matter as for the Electrical Engineering Faculty, as for all the Engineering Faculties of the University. But the main teaching activity is focused on delivering courses in Electronics and Computers areas (hardware and software) for the Electronics and Computers Engineering (Romanian language), Electrical Engineering and Computers (English language) full five year programs as for the Electronics and Quality Control and Metrology College programs.

The research activity is focused on EDA techniques, Signal and Image Processing, Neural Networks, Parallel and Distributed Computer Systems, Data Acquisition, Embedded Systems.
